Great for beginners and for those who want to take their practice slow, Gentle Yoga will teach the basic fundamentals of the yoga practice giving modifications to fit the practitioner’s needs. We focus on stretching, foundational poses, breathing (pranayama) and meditation. This is a practice where students need to be able to easily get themselves up and down from the floor.

A bridge into the Vinyasa Flow class, Our Slow Flow Vinyasa will slow down the pace of the flowing practice to help break down the structure of poses. Modifications are taught for the harder poses of the flowing practice so the student can build better alignment and core strength. This class is great for those who want to advance from the Gentle Yoga practice and for those who want to build a stronger foundation for their Vinyasa Flow practice. Beginners are welcomed.
Needing experience for this class, Vinyasa Flow will bring more fire and core work to the practice. As we move to the rhythm of our breath, we flow in and out of fundamental poses and start to take them to a deeper level. Our Vinyasa practice will challenge the student, helping them to become stronger on a physical, mental and emotional and spiritual level.
Our class allows women to safely practice yoga throughout their pregnancy. We focus on stretching and building strength of the upper and lower body as well as build the perineal muscles on the pelvic floor in preparation for childbearing. Prenatal yoga has been known to help shorten labor and quicken recovery time. Learning the power of deep breathing (pranayama) and meditation, a mother gains tools within herself to stay calm and grounded through the ups and downs of her journey. Pregnancy is not something a woman needs to get through, rather it is a life-changing experience where each moment should be embraced. The yoga practice helps a mother to prepare for this new chapter in her life. Beginners are welcomed.
Yin yoga is a practice of tuning into ourselves as we go into deep stretches that help release connective tissue. Yin is a great way to improve joint mobility and to help the energetic flow of our bodies. We hold stretches for longer periods of time, allowing the body to release stress and tension. This practice is an introspective practice that offers a chance to turn inwards and nurture our calm, quiet center. It is a practice in stillness, patience, and non-reactivity. All levels are welcomed.
A Mixed Level class is taught at an intermediate level with the option to modify or enhance. All levels of practitioners are welcomed to join this class, remembering to practice at the level that feels most comfortable to them. This class is generally taught in the Vinyasa Flow style, however sometimes instructors bring in different elements of other yoga practices to give variety to the class.
Restorative yoga is a practice that uses props to support the body with comfort and ease to facilitate health and healing. It calms down the nervous system and heart rate, helping to prevent stress and anxiety. The restorative sequence is designed to gently move the spine in all directions and we hold poses longer. The practice gives the benefits of passive stretching and deep relaxation. All levels welcomed.
Meditation is for everybody. It is a practice that can transform the way we see and experience our lives in a positive way. It is the act of drawing inside ourselves and observing. There are many different ways to approach meditation and we practice in a variety of ways to help students find the best way for them. Meditation is a journey deep within ourselves to help find clarity and peace.
